OBITUARY
 Knight,
Durwood Bradley
Durwood Bradley Knight, Sr., passed away peacefully at home on Sunday,
July 22, 2018. He was born on Christmas Day 1935 in Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma.
Durwood was the son of the late William Alfred and Addie Pace Knight of
Oklahoma.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Skinner Knight; son, Brad Knight;
four daughters, Denise Peters, Gail York and husband, Ron York, Misty
Lyons, Wyndi Partlow and husband, Dave Partlow. He is also survived by
his sister, Dorothy Pritchett and husband, Jimmy Pritchett. His pride
and joy were his eight grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great
grandchildren and a multitude of friends and beloved dogs, Hank and
Sadie.
He was the owner and operator of Farmers Branch Pest Control for over 50
years. He worked hard and played hard. He loved going to the casino, and
he never met a stranger and had a “Special Durwood” sense of humor.
The family will be receiving friends and family for visitation and
viewing on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 9:00 to 10:00 am in the Brooks
Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane,
Farmers Branch, Texas 75234. Celebration of Life services will begin at
10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be following the services at the Keenan Cemetery in
Farmers Branch on Valley View Lane. |
