OBITUARY

Mr. Henry A. Kovarnik
OCTOBER 28, 1932 – MAY 10, 2021

Obituary of Mr. Henry A. Kovarnik
Henry Alvin Kovarnik, Jr, was a beloved husband, father, Dedecek, brother, spiritual mentor and friend. Surrounded by his family, he ran into the arms of Jesus on May 10, 2021, and gained his heavenly crown.

Henry was born at home to Henry and Mary Kovarnik on October 28, 1932. The baby of the family, he soon became known as ‘Uncle Penny’. He grew up in Cessions, Texas, and graduated from Carrollton High School in 1950.

Henry attended Austin State College and obtained his Engineering degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. He spent his entire career working for Telautograph, later named Danka. This company had the first facsimile machines in hospitals around the metroplex.

Henry married Jane on July 14, 1962, and the two raised their three daughters steadfast in the Christian faith. Henry was very family-centered, spending as much time with his family as he could. Above all else, Henry built his personal life on the foundation of his Christian faith, first worshipping in Irving at Beltline Road Church of Christ and then at Grapevine Church of Christ.

Henry is survived by his three daughters, Kathy, Pam and Dana; son-in-law, Scott; five grandchildren, Jake, Macy, Griffin, Jared and Eli; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Bluebonnet Hills in Colleyville on Wednesday, May 19 from 4:30 - 6:30 pm. Graveside service will be held at Bluebonnet Hills in Colleyville on Thursday, May 20 at 10:00 am.
