OBITUARY

Lindsay, Mary L.

Mary L. Lindsay, born July 9, 1927 in Cookville, Texas to Guy and Mirtie Tanner. She moved to Carrollton, TX in 1950 where she married in 1954 and raised her family. She later worked at Mostek and then Texas Instruments. In her retirement years, until her passing, she ran titles for Dream Machine's and Honda Suzuki North. She spent her free time reading, at the beauty shop playing Yahtzee or at Marshall's Barbeque with her group of regulars. Her proudest accomplishment is her four children and her granddaughter. She loved to be with family and friends and loved to joke and laugh. Survivors include two sons: Jack Jeter and wife Cora, Robert Lindsay and wife Peggy Hayes; two daughters: Cindy Lindsay-Gross and husband Mike Gross, Janice Lindsay-Colao and husband Stephen Colao; granddaughter Jennifer Jeter-Smith and husband Brian Smith; sister Marie McInnis; "adopted daughter" Valerie Hermes; her faithful cat Boo; her hair dresser Kristina Graham; her adopted family at Marshall's Barbeque; her employer's at Dream Machine's and Honda Suzuki North and her friends at the Dallas County tax office in Farmers Branch. She is preceded in death by her husband R. K. Lindsay and sister Gladys Vandygriff. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, October 26, 2010 from 6-8 PM. Funeral Service at Rhoton Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon October 27, 2010 at 2:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation or the American Heart Association
