DAVID MAGES
November 18, 1942 - April 29, 2015

Services for David Mages, 72, of Murchison, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church in Murchison with Rev. Curtis Chandler officiating.
Burial will follow in Allen Cemetery.
Mr. Mages passed away April 29, 2015 in Tyler.
He was born November 18, 1942 in Lindsey to Eddie and Evelyn Weamer Mages.
David served in the United States Air Force. He was a 20 plus year member of the Lions Club and the current mayor of Murchison. He enjoyed welding and building trailers. David loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was never idle. He was always busy doing things and was always beyond positive. He never said a negative word.
David is preceded in death by his wife Gayle Mages in 2013 and a brother Edmund Mages.
Survivors include his son Les Mages and wife Teri of Port Lavaca; daughter Therese Wunderlich of Murchison; granddaughters Leticia Goodrich and husband Jason of Bullard, Shelby Smart of Murchison, Chelcie Fisher of Port Lavaca; great grandchildren Kaitlyn Goodrich, James David Smart, Georgia Goodrich; sisters Barbara Cleveland of Alabama, Shirley Mages, Nancy Logan and Rosemary Corey, all of Farmers Branch; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Les Mages, Jason Goodrich, Jerry Norton, Gordon Rister, Barry Maple and Joel Betts.
Honorary pallbearers will be Barry Corey, Johnny Rister, Gary Munselle.  Visitation for family and friends will be 5-7 P M Saturday at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Hospice of East Texas Foundation, 4111 University Boulevard, Tyler, Texas 75701.
