OBITUARY

MASHBURN
LONA GENE "Ging Ging", 86; was a loving wife, sister and mother to all. Born in Prosper, Tx on October 23, 1913. She and Ezra were married on Easter Sunday, March 24, 1940 in Royse City, Tx. She became a Christian on Easter Sunday at age 14 and was a longtime member of Webbs Chapel Baptist church. Gene has been a resident of Farmers Branch since July 1941. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Ezra. She is survived by two daughters, Wanda Johnson and Karen Lockhart; three grandchildren, Robin Stadt and husband, Rick, Larry Johnson and Randi Lockhart; Four great grand children, Chris, Megan and Ashley Stadt and Angelina Lockhart Juarez; three brothers, Ray and Jane Dubberly, Tom and Faye Dubberly and Leroy and Evelyn Dubberly; and one sister, Ruth and Harold Houser plus many more loving relatives, friends and associates. Gene received the affectionate name "Ging Ging" from her great grandson Chris who was mocking her granddaughter Randi and couldn't get Gene out right. It became a family nickname, which was passed on to many friends. Her caring ways lead her to become the neighborhood nurse. She will be greatly missed for her Chicken and Dumpling and her Chocolate Pies.  Service will be held Tuesday April 18, 2000, 1:00 pm at Rhoton Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating Rev. Joe Dennis. Interment at Crown Hill Memorial Park.
