John McComas Died
John McComas, aged about 49 years, died in a hospital in Dallas Monday, April
24, 1933. Funeral service was held at the home here Tuesday afternoon, Rev. W.
N. Vernon conducting, and interment made in the
Union Cemetery northeast of
town.
John McComas was born in Dallas county in 1884 and has lived here his entire
life. In 1908 he and Miss Fain Dodson were united in marriage and to them eight
children have been born. The first three died in infancy. The wife and five
children survive the husband and father; there being three girls and two boys.
In 1907 Mr. McComas was converted and joined the Methodist Church. He was a hard
working man and for some six years past had been employed by W. T. Squibb in
teaming.
