CARROLLTON GIRL FRIGHTFULLY BURNED
Ruby McComus, the nine year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John McComus, was horribly burned Sunday evening when her outing flannel underskirt became ignited by a spark from the kitchen stove. She had just made a fire in the stove.
Mrs. McComus' hands were badly burned in trying to save her girl. The little girl was taken to the sanitarium Monday where it is said she will be confined two or three months for treatment of third degree burns, if she survives at all.

OBITUARY

RUBY McCOMAS BURIED

Last Monday night little  Ruby McComas lost in the fight for her life from burns received a few weeks ago at her home when her clothing caught from a stove.

The remains were brought home from the City Hospital, and Wednesday afternoon the procession marched to the First Baptist Church where she had attended so regularly when able.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. H. C. Garrison and her school friends sang her favorite chorus "U see the flash of a silvery wing".

Interment was made in the Union  Cemetery and the number who attended was large considering the freezing weather.

The entire town sympathizes with the bereaved parents.
