OBITUARY
 

Services for Charlie C. McKamy, a former stockman and owner of a farm that once encompassed 2,500 acres in Collin, Denton and Dallas counties, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Episcopal Church of the Holy Communion, Dallas.

McKamy, 97, died Wednesday in Presbyterian Hospital.

The Collin County native had lived in the Dallas area all his life. His family settled in the area in the 1850s.

He was a graduate of what is now North Texas State University.

McKamy was a Mason and a member of the Methodist Church.

He was a World War I U.S. Army veteran.

McKamy is survived by his wife, Zanona Wall McKamy of Dallas; a son, Charles S. McKamy of Dallas; five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in Frankford Cemetery, Collin County.
