Identities Of 2 Dead Released

The identities of two persons who were killed and four others who were injured in a 2-car crash on a rain-slick bridge near Irving Friday night were released by the Dallas County sheriff's office Saturday
The dead were identified as Oliver Earl McManus Jr., of 9506 Lenel Place, Dallas; and Tom Bottalico, 17, of 1829 S. Perry Road, Carrollton.
They were killed when the light sports car driven by Bottallico skidded out of the westbound lane of Highway 114 and was struck broadside by a heavy eastbound sedan. The accident occurred as the two vehicles drove through light rain on the Trinity River bridge, a 2-lane strop northeast of Irving.
Injured were two girls accompanying the boys, Cathy Jean Thomison, 15, of 14226 heritage Circle, Carrollton; and Sheryl Lynn Henry, 15, of 1504 Duncan Way, Carrollton. Miss Thomison was still listed in serious condition at Parkland Hospital.
Also injured were two men in the other car - Quincy Allen Richburg, 51, of 511 W. Sixth, Irving; and the driver, LeRoy Brannon, 40, of 3507 Allison Court, Irving.  Richburg, brother of Dallas County Justice of the Peace W. E. Richburg, was listed in fair condition at Irving Community Hospital
