OBITUARY
Walter Robert Monk, Jr.
September 25, 1954 - May 10, 2013
Walter Robert Monk, Jr., 58, passed away on May 10, 2013. He was born
September 25, 1954 in Dallas, TX to Walter and Wilma Sadler Monk, Sr. He
married Mary Phyllis Harrell in Coppell, TX.
He is survived by his wife; mother, Wilma of Aubrey; two sons, Rocky and
wife Caresse Monk of Denton and Cody and wife Stephanie Monk of Frisco;
two daughters, Sonny DeShazo and Haley DeShazo both of Grapevine; one
brother, Garry and wife Paula Monk of Denton; one sister, Karen and
husband Mike Lee of Corinth; two grandchildren, Ryan Monk and Owen Monk;
and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 from 7:00PM to 8:00M at
Slay Memorial Funeral Center Chapel in Aubrey, TX. The funeral will be
on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Slay Memorial Funeral
Center Chapel with Rev. Randy Snow officiating. Burial will follow the
services at Belew Cemetery. On-line condolences may be shared at

Services are under the direction of Terri Slay and Slay Memorial Funeral
Center, Aubrey. |
