OBITUARY
 
Montfort, Helen Lou Johnson
Born November 18, 1924 in Ida Grove, Iowa and passed away October 28, 2010 with her children by her side. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Howard W. Montfort and son, Robert L. Montfort. She is survived by her sister, Barbara J. Collins and husband, Ed Collins; her daughter Mary H. Burcham, son, H.W. "Dusty" Montfort, Jr. and wife Gila; grandchildren, Steven W. Montfort, Robert Patrick Montfort, Ashly Coppage, Clayton and Anna Burcham; and great-grandchildren, Cydni and Peyton Coppage. After moving to Texas from Iowa in the mid-1930's, Helen grew up on her father's dairy farm in Carrollton, TX. She graduated from Carrollton High School and worked over the years at AT&T, Sun Oil Company, Nabisco, Carrollton Community Hospital and as a homemaker. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling in the U.S. and abroad. She especially loved Las Vegas and Lake Tahoe, NV. She was a member of Holy Covenant United Methodist Church in Carrollton. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, November 1, 2010 at Rhoton Funeral Home.
