OBITUARY
 

Stephen William Mooers was born on September 11, 1958 in Hartford, Connecticut. He moved with his family to the Dallas area in 1968. Stephen attended Lakeland Elementary in the Lewisville Independent School District. His family later moved to Carrollton where Stephen attended De Witt Perry Junior High and R. L. Turner High School. Stephen graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1981. He worked for several architectural firms in Dallas and later for Halliburton where he had the opportunity to visit Libya and Egypt. He loved to travel to Scotland and he also enjoyed skiing in Colorado. Stephen loved all sports and was an ardent Dallas Cowboys fan. His love for football also extended to the Texas Longhorns. His favorite sport to play was golf. Stephen is survived by his son, Christopher; his mother Georgie Strickland and step-father David; one brother Ron Mooers and his wife, Krystal; one sister Linda Thompson and her husband Jason and several nieces and nephews. He was loved by his family and friends and Christopher was his pride and joy.
