OBITUARY
 
William "Bill" Hudson Moore went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014. Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at New York Avenue Church of Christ in Arlington. Interment: 1 p.m. in Hilltop Memorial Park in Carrollton. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Blessing Funeral Home in Mansfield. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Texas Alzheimer's Society or Envoy Hospice. He was born July 24, 1928, in Johnson County to Hector Moore and Maggie Scott Moore. Bill graduated from Rio Vista High School in 1945. After high school Bill worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for a short time. He was then employed by Southwestern Bell on a construction crew. In 1956 Bill went into sales in the telephone industry. Bill sold for both ITT-Kellog and Phillips-Norelco from 1956 through 1971. His work territory included the eastern United States and the Caribbean. From 1971 to 1994, Bill was with Allied Telephone Co. as a sales manager. He later retired as president of Alltel Supply. Bill enjoyed playing golf with customers and friends. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, Nancy, to the Caribbean and Mexico. Bill was a member of New York Avenue Church of Christ. He loved and provided for his family generously. William was preceded in death by his parents, Hector and Maggie Moore; eight siblings, Tulia, Mildred, Ted, Rue V, Don and twin girls, JoDell and FloNell; his twin brother, Bob; and wife, Jarita Faye Pounds Moore and their son, William Hudson Moore II. Survivors: Those left to celebrate his life are his wife of 20 years, Nancy Viles Moore; son, Keith Moore and wife, Elaine; daughter, Teresa Blackwell and husband, Jim; grandchildren, Gene Moore and wife, Virginia, Keith L. Moore, Maggie Moore-McClain and husband, Shawn, Tanner Blackwell and Aurora Blackwell; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
