OBITUARY
 
Johnny Panter
1923-2004
CARROLLTON -- Johnny Panter of Farmers Branch, a former Snyder resident, died Friday, Feb. 27, in a Dallas hospital after a brief illness.
Service was held at 11 a.m. today in the Rhoton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was to follow in the Hilltop Cemetery in Carrollton.
Born Dec. 24, 1923 in Pilgrim Rest near Emory, he was a Snyder High School graduate.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robbie and Johnny Panter; his wife, Gineva Panter; and three brothers, Paul Panter, Kenneth Panter and Larry Panter.
Survivors include two sisters and a brother-in-law, Jean Jones of Snyder and Maxine and Jim Scrimshire of Seven Points; and several nieces and nephews, including Connie Collier, Debbie Tubb, both of Snyder, and former Snyder residents, Pam Collum of Midland and Kim Rice of Sundown.
