OBITUARY

TURNER CHASE PARKS
Friday, June 8th, 1990 - Sunday, July 20th, 2014

Turner Chase Parks, 24, of Corsicana, Texas passed away Sunday July 20 at his home. He was born June 8, 1990 in Lubbock, Texas to Don and Teena Parks.

Chase was a 2009 graduate of Carrollton Creekview High School in Carrollton, Texas where he was voted Home Coming King three times. He was a member of the Legends Show Choir and Men’s Choir, Wrangler’s Spirit Organization and active in sports, especially golf. He attended the Professional Golfers Career College in Orlando, Fl., while working toward PGA membership. His ambition was to become a teaching golf pro, working with children and beginners who wanted to learn the game of golf.

He is survived by his father, Don Parks and Lou Ann Allen of Corsicana; mother, Teena Parks Sharp of Dallas; brother, Todd Parks of Dallas; grandmothers, Nina Parks of Corsicana, and Robbie Sharp of Lubbock. Chase is also survived by extended family members; Chris & Maggie Bomberger, Matt & Jo Ann Allen, Ann Partain, Bethany, Josh, Austin, Bella, Gabby, Skyler and a host of friends from Lubbock, Carrollton and Corsicana.

Special thanks to; Michael Cone and Carrollton Young Life for all the love and support they gave Chase through the years. “Some of Chase’s best times were spent at Young Life Camp in the summer.” The family would like to give other teens the same opportunity. Visitation with the family will be Friday, July 25, 2014 evening from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Northside Baptist Church, 2000 Denton Dr., Carrollton, Texas 75006. A Celebration of Chase’s Life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Northside Baptist Church in Carrollton with Michael Cone and Pastor J. Mark Dallalio officiating. Cremation will follow under the direction and care of Corley Funeral Home of Corsicana. Family and friends are invited to a reception following the service Saturday at the home of Ken & Malinda Reeves, 11531 Cromwell Circle, Dallas, Texas 75229.
