MARCEL LORANT PENA,
Was born Aug. 20, 1989 and passed away Feb. 14, 2008, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Marcel was a senior at Newman Smith High School in Carrollton. He played baseball, soccer and football and was a member of Covenant Church Mundo de Fe. He is survived by his mother, Michelle Pena; sister, Ocean Moon Smith; grandparents, George and Dora Pena; uncles, Robert, Tito and George Pena; aunt, Sylvia Securro; great-grandmother, Isabel Pena of Hereford, Texas; and numerous cousins. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008 at New Life Funeral Home Chapel, 1835 Pearl St., Carrollton, TX 75006. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2008 at Covenant Church, 2644 E. Trinity Mills Rd., Carrollton, with Pastor Abel Lopez officiating. Burial will be at Hilltop Memorial Park, Carrollton.
