OBITUARY

Leonard Pender Funeral Held

Leonard Pender, 70, of 1107 West Alan, Carrollton, was pronounced dead on arrival Nov. 24 at Parkland Hospital after being stricken in his home.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 26, at Rhoton-Weiland-Merritt Chapel in Carrollton, the Rev. Ken Carter officiating, with burial in Hilltop Memorial Park, Carrollton.
Mr. Pender, a resident of Carrollton 30 years, was a native of Woodland. He was employed as a truck driver by Blanton Grain Company.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Vivian H. Pender, and a daughter, Mrs. Nancy Fuller, both of Carrollton; three sons, Leonard Pender, Jr., of Fairfield, Calif., Norman Pender of Carrollton and Hugh Pender of Farmers Branch; four sisters, Mrs. Viola-Lowe of Manchester, Mrs. Ethel Dreckshage of Dallas, Mrs. Bessie Whatley of Bethel, Okla., and Mrs. Guy Eva Becker of Paris, Texas; and seven grandchildren.
