OBITUARY

Ella Clydene "Dinky" Pinkerton, 88, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 16, 2014. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday at Abilene Funeral Home Chapel of Hope, 3349 N. 12th Street, with Pat Andrews officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by Abilene Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 6:00 till 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
"Dinky" was born March 08, 1926, in Coppell, Texas to Hester Addison and Zorah Eva Foster Hunt. She was a great homemaker, devoted wife and wonderful mother. She met and married her loving husband, Norman Pinkerton on November 20, 1948. "Dinky" and Norman owned and operated Norman's Trim for 50 years on North First Street in Abilene. She loved Square dancing, all types of music and had a great love for animals. "Dinky" will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Ella leaves behind to cherish her memories a son Bobby Pinkerton (Melba), of Abilene; three grandchildren, Austin, Ryan and Collin Pinkerton, all of Lafayette, Louisiana; three great grandchildren, Hannah & Morgan Rule, both of Abilene and Talon Gorniak, of Cedar Park.
Mrs. Pinkerton was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Norman Pinkerton and a son, Michael "Mike" Pinkerton.
Memorials may be made to Hendricks Hospice of the Big Country and Rescue the Animals of Abilene.
