Obituary for Mary Cronin Plunk
In Memory of Mary Margaret Plunk (née Cronin)

April 16, 1950 - March 2, 2024

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mary Margaret Plunk on March 2, 2024. Born on April 16, 1950, in Kansas City, Missouri, Mary led a life marked by love, dedication, and a 25-year career as a special education aide.

Mary's work impacted many lives, and her patience and genuine care left a lasting impression on students and colleagues alike. Mary enjoyed shopping and had a deep affection for dogs, finding comfort in their companionship. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and traveling to classic car shows with her husband Tommy's 1933 Dodge.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Kate Cronin. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Tommy Plunk, as well as her brothers, Tom and Jim (wife Terry) Cronin, and her sons, Kevin and Cory (wife Lauren) Plunk. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Nolan, Cora, Clara, and Cleo Plunk.

In addition to her immediate family, Mary is remembered by numerous cousins, friends, and relatives. Her warmth, generosity, and down-to-earth spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

Please join us in celebrating her life Thursday, March 7 (viewing - 1-2, service - 2-3) at the Memorial Chapel at Restland (13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243). In lieu of flowers and to celebrate Mary's career as a special education aide, the family is requesting that donations be made in her honor to the Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD Educational Foundation

Mary Cronin Plunk Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Cronin Plunk (Dallas, Texas), born in Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on March 2, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Tom Cronin and Kate Cronin. She is survived by : her husband Tommy Plunk; her brothers, Tom and Jim Cronin (Terry); and her sons, Kevin and Cory Plunk (Lauren). She is also survived by numerous cousins, friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, March 7th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Restland Fh Memorial Chapel (13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75081). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, March 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers and to celebrate Mary's career as a special education aide, the family is requesting that donations be made in her honor to the Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD Educational Foundation.
