Wylie woman, 37, killed in crash in Collin County
COLLIN COUNTY - A 37-year-old Wylie woman was killed and two people were injured
Sunday in an automobile accident in Collin County. Authorities said a
preliminary investigation indicated that Claudia Price was eastbound on FM2514,
just northwest of Wylie, about 7 p.m. when her vehicle was struck by a westbound
car driven by Ilana Pendell , 21, of Garland. Ms. Pendell was apparently driving
erratically when she veered into Ms. Price's lane and struck her car head-on,
police said. Ms. Price was pronounced dead at Methodist Medical Center in
Dallas. Her son, Philip Pride , 8, was in fair condition Monday at Parkland
Memorial Hospital. Ms. Pendell was hospitalized in stable condition Monday. A
passenger riding with Ms. Pendell was treated for minor injuries.
