James LeRoy Rider, beloved husband, Dad, and
Papa passed away on June 10, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving
family. He was born August 25, 1947 in Delta, Colorado but made
Carrollton, Texas his home. Jim graduated from RL Turner High School,
served two years in the Navy, and graduated from North Texas State
University. He is survived by his wife Jane Rider; son, Jeff Rider of
San Francisco, California; son, Tommy Wright of Tyler; daughter, Amy
Carrasco and son-in-law, James Carrasco of Arlington; daughter, Jody
Hackett and son-in-law, Richard Hackett of Kaufman; mother, Elizabeth
Shaw of Forsythe, Missouri; brother, Tom Rider of Napa, California;
seven grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Memorial Services will be
held on June 25, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at The Ridge Church, 4561 Josey
Lane, Carrollton, Texas. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations
be made to The Ridge Family Fund.
