Kelly Douglas Roach was born in Dallas, Texas on December 18, 1967, to Paul Roach and Susan Alexander. He grew up in Carrollton, Texas and graduated from Baylor University in 1989. But if you knew Kelly, you know he didn't feel at home until he moved to Nashville in 1993 and married Karin Olson, whom he greatly loved, on August 16, 2003. And if you knew Kelly, then you know he loved well. He loved to write, play, and record music. He loved to eat well and play well. He loved to share a good story, a good show, a good sporting match, and a good beer. Most of all, he loved people. Kelly loved to listen to your story, no matter how long it took to tell it. He loved to listen, laugh, cry, and pray with you. He loved to dig deep into Scripture, not just for the sake of his own soul, but so he could share it with you for the sake of your soul. To know that Kelly loved you was to experience a little bit that Jesus loves you. Kelly loved well, and he was loved well. His sudden passing on February 25, 2016, has broken our hearts, but has also prompted messages of love from calls, texts, emails and posts from literally all over the world. In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Karin Olson Roach of Nashville, whom he married August 16, 2003; half sister, Lyric Rayann Roach of Texas; step sister, Stephanie (Craig) Miller of Georgia; step mother, Judi Roach; and mother and father-in-law, John and Maggie Olson of Columbia. Pallbearers will be Patrick Alphonso, Chris Cummins, Nolan Lucas, Brian Buterbaugh, Armistead Grandstaff, Tony Weeks, Bill Davis, Mark Keefer, and Rex Moxley.
