OBITUARY
 
Gabriel Lupercio RomO
September 23, 1959 - November 22, 2020

Gabriel Lupercio Romo, 61, of The Colony, Texas passed away on November 22, 2020 after a courageous battle against glioblastoma. Gabriel was born in Dallas, Texas on September 23, 1959 to Consuelo Lupercio Romo and Gregorio Martel Romo Sr.

He attended R.L. Turner High School and married Rebecca Lynn Buck, his high school sweetheart, in 1982. For over 40 years, he was a master jeweler and proud owner of his family business, Gem Classics. Gabriel was a fishing enthusiast, skilled craftsman and longtime member of The Colony Bass Club. In his spare time, he loved being outdoors and spending time with his loving wife and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gregorio and Consuelo Romo, daughter in law, Aarian Romo, and father in law, Theodore Buck.

Gabriel is survived by his wife of 38 years, Becky Romo and their two sons; Gabriel Lee Romo and Steven Romo (wife, Lynlee). He was a loving “Popo” of three grandchildren; Desiree, Ellie Jean and Savannah. He leaves his siblings; Luther Romo, Abel Romo, Mara Romo, Mary Padilla, Vera Garcia, George Romo Jr., Bertha Lopez and Nellie Fabrow. And is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Gabriel Romo will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Stewart Creek Park, 3700 Sparks Road, The Colony, Texas. Those who will be attending, just let the gate attendant know that you are there for the Gabriel Romo Celebration of Life service and they will waive the gate fee. Drive straight ahead and look for the tent!

Gabriel will be laid to rest, in a private ceremony, at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney, Texas.
