OBITUARY
 
Tony Wayne Short
March 29, 1957 - April 25, 2015
 

Tony Wayne Short, born March 29, 1957 went to be with our Lord and Savior Saturday April, 25, 2015. He is preceded in death by his father and mother John and Freda Short, sister Joy Huggins and brother Phillip Ray Short. Wayne is survived by Debi Short, his wife of 35 years, son Joel Wayne Short and wife Brandy, son Austin Ray Short and wife Vanessa. He is also survived by brother Bryan Short and two grandsons, Joel Wayne Short Jr. and Cooper Ray Short, with another grandson on the way. Wayne attended RL Turner High school and served our country for 4 years in the United States Army. Wayne was a licensed electrician and also held his Texas State Air Conditioning License. Wayne took over the family owned business "Coppell Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc." Coppell, TX in 1998. Wayne was a dedicated family man. He was a scoutmaster, little League baseball coach and all around cheer leader for his boys. He also enjoyed hunting, skeet shooting, collecting guns, boating and riding his Harley. He was a North Texas HOG member where he served as a Head Road Captain and Quartermaster. Wayne rode a 2010 CVO Screaming Eagle Ultra Classic.

A celebration of Wayne's life will be held Sunday, May 3, at 1:00 at the Rhoton Funeral Home 1511 Interstate 35E, Carrollton, TX 75006 Viewing/Visitation 1:00 pm and services at 2:00.
