OBITUARY
 

Stark, Wilbur Harold Passed away in Dallas, Texas on April 16, 2009 at age 89. Preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Vera Stark; parents, Henry Oscar Stark and Leila Coppedge Stark; sisters, Elsie Harry and Annie Laurie Verbick; brothers, Waldo Stark, Thomas Stark and Leslie Stark. Survived by daughter Yvonne Specht and husband, Woody; son, David Stark and wife Beverly; grandson, Brian Specht; granddaughter, Audrey Stark; great granddaughters, Evann Specht, Maddy Specht and Jordan Specht; and brothers, Wilson Stark and Gara Stark. Harold retired after thirty years combined service with Magnolia Petroleum and Mobil Oil companies, having served in management positions in both companies. He was a former member of the Mobil Management Club and a past president of the Dallas Industrial Management Club. After retirement, he served as a volunteer for 15 years delivering meals to the elderly and homebound for Senior Adult Services in Carrollton. His life was devoted to his family and his church, First Baptist Church in Farmers Branch, where he was a member for over 50 years and served as a deacon. Visitation Sunday, April 19, 5-7 pm at the funeral home. Service will be Monday, April 20, 10 am at First Baptist Church in Farmers Branch with Pastor Sam Underwood officiating. Interment at SparkmanHillcrest Memorial Park.
