Jon Thomas, Class of '76. Died in 1984. After graduation, his family moved to Monroe, Louisiana where Jon attended a local Community College. He frequented Dallas often and enjoyed the nightlife scene on Greenville Avenue. He became very well known in the Oaklawn/Cedar Springs area, where he was selected as the winner of the "Mr. Dallas" contest. He went on to become "Mr. Texas" and continued on to "Mr. USA" which he won. He then represented in the Mr. Universe pageant and while he didn't win, he did a damn good job and had a blast! He was a great guy, and was taken by a disease that was very scary "back in the day", and still is, to the uninformed.
