1982 The Roar R. L. Turner High School Carrollton, Dallas Co., Texas Junior Class   OBITUARY TOBIAS, MICHAEL LAURENCE 42, died Saturday, October 13, 2007. Mr. Tobias was the Owner and President of the award winning Lexington Place Assisted Living Homes, a company he started in 1997. He was the past-president of the Texas Organization for Residential Care Homes (TORCH) and a member of Temple Shalom in Dallas. Mr. Tobias was the past recipient of the Baylor Dallas Hospital Nurse of the Year award and served in Operation Desert Storm as an Air Force medic. Mr. Tobias was the son of the late Judge Robert Tobias and grandson of the late Frank and Anna Rosenberg. Mr. Tobias is survived by his wife Cristina Tobias and children Carolyn and Andrew of Garland; his mother, Helen Rosenberg Tobias of Richardson; his sister Sherry Jones and her husband Robert of Garland; his sister Leslie Sandler and her husband Ron of Fairfax Station, VA; his brother Eric Tobias of Oak Park, MI; and nephews Matthew Jones and Brandon Jones of Garland; and nieces Rachel Sandler and Hannah Sandler of Fairfax Station, VA. A chapel service will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at Temple Shalom, 6930 Alpha Rd, Dallas, at 1:00 pm with Rabbi Andrew Paley officiating.
