Terry William ""Bill"" Troup
September 6, 1945 - September 19, 2013


T. William TROUP age 68 of Chardon, died Sept. 19, 2013 at Heather Hill Care Center. Born Sept. 9, 1945 in Minneapolis, MN to William E. and Ruth (nee: Merriman) Troup, Jr. he had lived in Cuyahoga Falls before moving to Chardon in 1972. Mr. Troup was a graduate of Carrollton High School (TX) Class of 1963, earned a BS from Defiance College Class of 1968 and a Masters w/ Honors in history from the University of Toledo Class of 1970. Bill started teaching in 1968 before moving to Chardon Local Schools where he taught from 1972 until his retirement. He earned CHS Teacher of the Year in 2001 and the Superintendent’s Award. Bill served as an elder and was an active member at Christ Presbyterian Church in Chester Twp. since 1978. Bill is survived by cousins: Rev. Debra (Richard) Hayden of Newark, OH, Cheryl (James) Creighton of N. Jackson, OH and Daniel (Jean Marie) Lamb of Austintown, OH; close friends Ron (Bridget) Cole and Esther Neumann and many co-workers. He was preceded in death by his parents. FUNERALSVC: 8pm Monday Sept. 23, 2013 at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South ST. (On Rt. 44, 500’ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon, OH with Pastor Matthew Reeves of Christ Presbyterian Church officiating. VISITATION: 6-8pm on Monday at the funeral home. Family and friends are asked to meet 10am on Tuesday at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Twp. for burial. Donations suggested to World Vision P.O. Box 9716 Federal Way, WA 98063.

T. William Troup, of Chardon, died Sept. 19, 2013, at Heather Hill Care Center. He was 68.
Born Sept. 9, 1945, in Minneapolis, Minn., to William E. and Ruth (nee Merriman) Troup Jr., he had lived in Cuyahoga Falls before moving to Chardon in 1972.

Family and friends are asked to meet 10 a.m. Sept. 24 at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester for burial.
