Clyde Wright Welch
Aug 9, 1904 - May 4, 1992

LITTLE ELM - Clyde Wright Welch, a furniture company owner from Little Elm in Denton County, died Monday after a long illness. He was 87.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today in Restland Memorial Park in Dallas.

Schmitz-Floyd-Hamlett Funeral Home in Denton is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Welch was born in Dallas.

He owned and operated Welch Furniture Co. in Dallas. He was a Shriner and a charter member of Love Field Masonic Lodge.

Mr. Welch and his wife were the first to marry in Highland Park Presbyterian Church in Dallas, where Mrs. Welch was a charter member.

The couple later was asked to assist with the organization of Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church in Dallas, where they became charter members.

After moving to Denton County in 1960, they became members of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Denton.

The family suggests that memorials be made to the Scottish Rite Hospital for Crippled Children in Dallas or Ann's Haven Hospice in Denton.

Survivors: Wife, Shirley Welch of Little Elm; and sister, Moselle Welch of Dallas.
