OBITUARY

George W. Wigley

George Wigley of Carrollton, a native of Lamar County, died Saturday in a Farmers Branch Hospital.
Funeral services were held Sunday in Rhoton-Weiland-Merritt Funeral Home Chapel in Carrollton.  Officiating were Cornelius Abbott and John Kinslow. Burial was in Furneaux Cemetery.
Mr. Wigley, a retired carpenter, was born in Lamar County Sept 2, 1900.  He had lived in Carrollton for the past 13 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Druvilla Wigley of Carrollton; two sons, James Wigley of Arthur City and Royce Wigley of Shreveport, La.; two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Crawford of Carrollton and Mrs. Virda Coffman of Coppell; seven grandchildren; three brothers, A. B. Clem of Arkansas, Bits Clem of California and Lewis Clem of New Mexico; three sisters, Mrs. Celeste Cureton of California and Mrs. Ida Annett and Mrs. Mary Vanderburg both of Chicota.
