OBITUARY

Ruth Wiley
Aug 19, 1920 - Sep 26, 1996

Services for Ruth Wiley, a former Farmers Branch teacher, were Saturday.

Mrs. Wiley, 76, died Thursday at RHD Memorial Medical Center in Farmers Branch of congestive heart failure.

She started teaching fourth grade in the early 1970s at Neil R. McLaughlin Elementary School in Farmers Branch.

"She always loved kids, and although she only taught for 10 years, and it was a short career for her, she always paid attention to kids," said her daughter, Mary Jane Harmony of San Carlos, Calif.

Mrs. Wiley's sister, Frances Edgemon of Johnson City, Tenn., said: "She kept up with a lot of her students even after she left teaching. She really cared about them."

Mrs. Wiley's main profession was catering.

Mrs. Wiley is also survived by her husband, Paul Wiley of Farmers Branch; another daughter, Martha Gooding of Dallas; and three grandsons.
