OBITUARY

Last Rites Planned for Town Leader

FARMERS BRANCH - Funeral services for Jack T. Williams, 49, of 2969 Eric Lane, a member of the Carrollton-Farmers Branch School Board, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the First Christian Church of Carrollton. Burial will be in Round Grove Cemetery.
Williams, a Commerce native, died here Monday. A Dallas County resident for 24 years, he was a sales representative for Humble Oil Co.
Williams had been active in scouting here for 18 years and was a recipient of the Silver Beaver Award. he served as scoutmaster of Troop 845 and was an elder in the First Christian Church of Carrollton.
During World War II, he was a lieutenant colonel in the Army.
Williams was serving his second term on the Carrollton-Farmers Branch School Board.
Survivors: Wife; two sons, Tony Williams and Steve Williams of Dallas; mother, Mrs. Pearl Williams of Commerce; two sisters, Mrs. James T. Beasley of Corpus Christi and Mrs. Bernice Bryer of Paris, and three brothers, James E. Williams of San Antonio, Dr. William Williams of Long Beach, Calif., and Robert Louis Williams of Commerce.
