OBITUARY
 

BRENDA KAY WOOD
August 28, 1958 - July 5, 2018

Brenda Baxter Wood, 59 years old, of Farmers Branch, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2018. She is preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Baxter, and survived by her father, Bob Baxter; his wife, Karen; brother, Robert Baxter; his wife, Lisa; nephew, Jason Baxter, his wife, Kim and their daughters Sydney and Brook; niece, Bridget Baxter, the love of her life, Ronny Wood and dear friend, Larry Eng. Born in Dallas, Texas, Brenda grew up in Farmers Branch, graduating a year early from RL Turner High School in 1975. At the age of 17, she enrolled at SMU graduating in 1979 with a degree in Fine Arts and Journalism. In 1980, she secured her real estate license becoming one of the most sought and referred realtors in the Dallas area. Brenda’s skill in finding homes that matched the needs of her clients, her art of negotiating and taking care of all aspects of home buying, were her passion and her gift. After closing a sale, Brenda never closed the relationship with her clients, continuing to help to the best of her ability. Brenda leaves behind many friends who adored and respected her for her generous heart, wit, and beauty. Her presence will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Memorial service will be Tuesday, 7/24, 11am at Rhoton Funeral Home, 1511 S Interstate 35E, Carrollton, TX 75006 In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Brenda’s name to her favorite charities- The Family Place (http://www.familyplace.org) and SPCA-Texas https://www.spca.org/
