Farmers Branch To Change Names Of 30 Streets

FARMERS BRANCH, Texas. - The Farmers Branch City Council has ordered new signs for thirty town streets. Names of the streets must be changed in compliance with a request by the Dallas Post Office. Farmers Branch recently was given Dallas postal service with the opening of a station.
Mayor Lawson Lewis said he expected the new street signs to be ready within three weeks.
Under the city-wide change in street names, Strait and Dorothy Streets in Farmers Branch will become Havenhurst Street; Old Valley View and Oak Street will be changed to Keenan Bridge Road; Plum to Pike, Webb to Carrick, Wood to Irondale, Willow Spring Drive to Springlake Road, Short to Sable, Church to Pepperwood, Elm to Elder, Good to Goodland, May to Vintage, Ross to Rossford, Robin Lane to Nestle Street, Maurice to Hermitage, Gilbert Lane to Farmers Branch Lane, Lee to Marietta, Acacia to Dixiana, Highland Drive to Holbrook Drive, Greenway Circle to Harrisburg Circle, Joyce Way to Lineville, Winston Drive to Wilmington Drive, McLemore to McClintock, Stephen Lane to Primrose Lane, Linda to Lavita Lane, Sharon Lane to Selma Lane, Mitchell to Maydelle, Althea Parkway to Austell Parkway, Greene to Goodwater.
