Roberta
Frances (Gladden) Alexander Roberta Frances Alexander,
84, of Farmers Branch, passed from this life on Wednesday, May 26th.
Born February 9, 1926 in Glendale, Arizona, she was the daughter of John
and Sina Oleva Cochran Gladden.
As a child, Roberta moved to Missouri with her family where she
graduated from High School.
She married George Davis in 1945 and to this union two children were
born, Olivia and Sandra. Mr. Davis preceded her in death in 1948 and she
married Robert Alexander in 1950 and two children, Laverta and Bernie
were born. Mr. Alexander preceded in death in 1986.
Roberta, a long time Christian and Baptist, moved to Texas in 1965 had
resided in Carrollton for the past thirty-five years and in Farmers
Branch for this past year.
Preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husbands and her daughter
Olivia, Roberta is survived by her children Sandra West, Laverta Vega
and Bernie Alexander and their spouses; ten grandchildren, three
step-grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Friday, May 28th at Rhoton Funeral Home
where funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 29th, The Rev.
Jerry Hays, pastor of the Valwood Baptist Church will officiate with
burial in Hilltop Memorial
Park.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Vega, Dean Vega, Jay Alexander, Tracy Farr,
Matthew Thornbury, Brandon Outlaw and Brad Yeager.
