OBITUARY

A Good Woman Passes Away

Mrs. Lillie Mae Allen, wife of John Allen of Addison, was born near Farmersville, Texas, May 30th, 1894 and passed away May 23, 1928. The husband, two sons, Herman and Howard, five brothers and two sisters, together with many friends, are left to mourn her going. When the end came she was ready. She was converted and joined the Methodist church several years ago and was a devoted member to the end. We shall think of her as safe in the homeland serving her Lord.
Rev. R. L. Lemons, pastor of the Addison Methodist Church, had charge of the funeral service which was held in the church, May 24th, and the body was laid to rest in the Frankford cemetery. Sweet be her sleep in her narrow bed beneath the trees, the grass, and blossoming flowers, and all is well. May the example of this devoted wife gentle mother, and christian friends who died in the Lord be a source of strength to each one of us as we labor on through the years
