OBITUARY

VELMA ELIZABETH ALLEN Born January 16, 1909 in Collin County, TX went to be with the Lord on January 15, 2006 in Dallas, TX. She retired from the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District. In 1998 the Mayor of Farmers Branch presented her the Most Distinguished Citizen Award. She is preceded in death by her parents Mote and Iva Mae Farley; 7 brothers and sisters and her husband George P. Allen. She is survived by her 6 children, Lois Riddle; Martha Eggleston, Charles Allen, George Allen, Gracie Malone and Harold Allen; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, January 16, 2006 6-8 PM at Rhoton Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, January 17, 2006 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Farmers Branch, Rev.
