OBITUARY
Patsy
C. (Rice) Allman
PATSY C. ALLMAN, 73, of Carrollton, Texas passed from this life Monday,
March 15th in Carrollton. She was the daughter of Elbert and Christine
Eubank Rice and was born in Dallas April 26, 1936. Upon graduating from
North Dallas High School, Patsy attended Howard Payne University where
she met her late husband Murray Allman. In addition to serving as a
teacher (music and second grade) for Dallas Independent School District,
she used her music talent to serve as a pianist/accompanist and choir
member in her church. She was her sons' first music teacher, and gave
her four grandchildren piano lessons during the few summers she babysat
them. She retired from teaching in the early 1990's. Patsy exceeded
customary mother and caregiver roles, always providing a spirit of
genuine affection toward her family and friends. She never took no for
an answer when offering food and drinks for guests. Her servant heart
was an example of a noteworthy love for others and a love for her Lord.
She gave much of her time to reading the Bible and learning verses. So
much that she was able to lead her son, Paul, to Christ at a young age.
Described as an "angel supreme" by her sister, Annette, her love for
others turned full circle as she was loved by others. Survivors include
her sons, Paul Edward Allman and his wife, Terry of Carrollton and
Carl Allman of Clinton, Mississippi;; four
grandchildren, Kristin, Michael, David and Hannah and a sister, Annette
Tyler of Carrollton.
Visitation was at Rhoton Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 18th
and funeral services were at 1 p.m. Friday, March 19th at the First
Baptist Church of Carrollton with Rip Cannon and Dr. Wayne Allen
officiating. Interment followed at the Crown Hill Memorial Park in
Dallas. Pallbearers were David Allman, Christ Tyler, Michael Allman,
