OBITUARY ERWIN , FLORA DELL, born July 3,
1923, expired on December 18, 2003, after a lengthy illness. She was born in
Gilmer to Aubrey & Eddie Cora Still Odom. She was graduated from Gilmer High
School. During World War II, she served her country as a welder for ships in the
Houston shipyard. She moved to Dallas where she lived and worked at Texas
Instruments for 27 years. In 1984 she retired and moved to Winnsboro, Texas,
close to her hometown. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Winnsboro
and the Lynn Swanners Class. She was preceded in death by her parents; her
husband, Jack Erwin ; her brothers, Jeffie Odom, Henry
Odom, Billy Odom and an infant brother. She is survived by her daughters, Bobbie
Irwin of Carrollton, Linda Sims and husband, Dale Sims of Winnsboro; 5
grandchildren-Jeffrey Irwin, Dana Vaughan Jones, Kimberly Vaughan Chadwick,
Chris Sims and Audra Sims Messimer; 13 great grandchildren; a brother, Edgar
Odom and wife, Edith of Killeen; brothers-in-law, Johnny Erwin
, Max G. Erwin , Tom Erwin and
D.K. Erwin and sister-in-law, Vera Nell Davis and their
families; nieces, nephews, and cousins and numerous very close and loving
friends. She was loved and respected by anyone who knew her. Graveside services
were held December 20, 2003, at the Rosewood Cemetery in Gilmer, Texas, with the
Rev. Charles Johnson officiating. Services were directed by Croley Funeral Home
in Gilmer, Texas.

OBITUARY WINNSBORO - Graveside services
for Flora Dell Erwin, 80, Winnsboro, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at
Rosewood Cemetery, Upshur County, with Charles Johnson officiating under
direction of Croley Funeral Home, Gilmer.
Mrs Erwin died Dec. 18 in Longview.
She was born July 3, 1923, in Upshur County to the late Aubrey and Eddie Still
Odom. She lived in the Dallas area for 24 years prior to moving to Winnsboro.
She was an assembler for Texas Instruments and a member of First Baptist Church
of Winnsboro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Dan Erwin and
brothers Jeffie Odom and Henry Odom.
Survivors include daughters, Bobbie Irwin, Carrollton, and Linda Sims, Leesburg;
brother, Edgar Odom, Killeen; five grand children; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
