OBITUARY

Death Takes Mrs. Asbury

Mrs. Minnie L. Asbury, 71, of 4519 McKinney, a resident of Dallas all her life, died Wednesday in a local hospital after an illness of sixteen months.
She was a cousin of John Neely Bryan, first white citizen of Dallas, and had often entertained him in her home.. She was a member of the First Methodist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. J. Knox Henry, Lancaster; a son C. T. Asbury, Dallas; three sisters, Mrs. Charles W. Smith, Dallas; Mrs. J. S. Dennis, San Angelo, and Mrs. D. M. Long, Houston, and a brother, E. D. May, Arlington.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Guardian Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Robert E. Goodrich Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Farmers Branch.
