OBITUARY
BAIN,
BOBBY HADEN, Born in Longview, Texas on June 25, 1933. Passed
unexpectedly on June 9, 2006, from a brain aneurysm. Graduated Longview
High School in 1949, then attended Draughn Business College in Dallas.
Served in the US Army in 1953-54 as Supervisor of the Big Sky Sweeper
Gun, guarding the Northeast Coast. He holds a BBA from North Texas State
University. Worked for Southwestern Bell for 5 years, and was a sales
rep for 12 years for Beacon Blankets. Worked for H&S Company for 21
years and retired as Vice President in 1995. Spent part of his
retirement years working part-time as a Sales Associate for Jostens
Rings. Survived by his wife of 31 years, Carol Bain of Highland Village,
and sister, Betty Whitmire of Midland, Texas. Also survived by his
children Kym and Tracy Webster of Plano, Kyle Bain of Austin, Kelly and
Richard Ott of Elgin, Tx., Jim Shipp of Dallas, Ricky and Barbara Bell
of Little Elm, Randy and Rachel Bell of Grapevine, Dan and Debbie Bell
of Carrollton. His grandchildren are Kyle Bain, Jr.; Austin and Kelsey
Webster; Renee Childers, Brenda Thurman, Monty Shipp; Michelle Shipp;
Ryan Bell; Drannon, Derek and Devin Bell. He also has 6 great
grandchildren: Bradley, Preston, Tanner, Avery, Landon and Lamar.
Survived by his nieces Betsy Radney of Colorado Springs, and Cindy
Hunsucker of Canyon Lake, Tx. Preceded in death by his mother, Eva Mae
Bain in 1962, and grandson, Clayton Bell, in 1992. He was the ultimate
family man, and a consummate host to everyone - warm, welcoming and
always the life of the party. A Dallas Cowboys fan - he religiously
attended games as a season ticket-holder since the 1960s. He regularly
attended Longview Lobo reunions and reunions with his army buddies.
Services will be held on Tuesday, June 13, at 2 p.m., at the North
Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane in Farmers Branch, followed
by entombment at Hilltop
Mausoleum in Carrollton. Visitation for family and friends are on
Monday, June 12, from 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has
requested donations in his name to the American Cancer Society or the
Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. "John P Brooks and Family North Dallas
