Shirley Jean Baxley was born on May 22, 1935 and passed away on January 24, 2022 and is under the care of Rhoton Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held on January 28, 2022 at 5:00 pm at Rhoton Funeral Home, 1511 South Interstate 35e, Carrollton, TX. Funeral Service will be held on January 29, 2022 at 12:00 pm at Rhoton Funeral Home, 1511 South Interstate 35e, Carrollton, TX. Committal Service will be held on January 29, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Hilltop Memorial Park, 1810 N PERRY RD, CARROLLTON, TX.

Shirley Jean Baxley was born on May 22, 1935 in Holliday, Texas to William and Evelynn O'Neill. She passed away on January 24, 2022 in Allen, Texas at the age of 86.
Shirley graduated from Guthrie High School in Guthrie, Texas in 1952.

She met her husband, Ronald Baxley, in Wichita Falls, Texas and got married on December 23, 1956 in Sulphur Springs, Texas. They later went on to have three children: Carl, Allan, and Rhonda.

She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Farmers Branch, Texas.

Shirley enjoyed spending her free time playing video games with her sisters and grandchildren. They would take turns rocking out to songs on their favorite game Guitar Hero. She enjoyed gardening and crocheting. She was also an avid reader.

Shirley is preceded in death by her husband; Ronald W. Baxley, her parents; William E. O'Neill and Evelynn O'Neill, her sister; Joyce Decker, her brother; Billy O'Neill, and her son; Allan Baxley.

She is survived by her sisters; Alice Winters and Barbara Michaels, her children; Carl Baxley and Rhonda Hamlett, her grandchildren; David, Daniel, Chase, Amanda, Alan, Tina, Amber, Chayne, Lauren, Justin, Alex, Arika, Yvonne, Chad, and John. She is also survived by her 20 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
