OBITUARY

JAMES CLARE BEACH
1946 - 2022

BEACH, James Clare James Clare Beach, son of E. C. Beach, Jr. and Jimmie Frances Beach, passed away at age 76 on April 12, 2022. Protector, provider, encourager selfless, devoid of vanity, imaginative, wise and respected, Jim matched his priceless sense of humor with integrity. First educated in Dallas and Carrollton, Texas, Jim attended Yale University and graduated from the University of Texas, majoring in business and accounting. His deep, quiet faith anchored our family. Impeccable ethics served those with whom he did business as a practicing CPA for 55 years. Jim was a creator, a thinker and a listener qualities which launched innovative software initiatives that will continue to enhance the lives of those we may never know. Childhood sweethearts, Jim and wife Linda walked side by side for 64 years and celebrated 54 years of marriage this month. Together they built a family, traveled the world and shared a mutual interest in addressing needs of the Dallas community, while working with lifelong friends they admired and respected. Jim's imprint on his son Nathan and on each grandchild will be lasting. Nathan and later Wesley, Annabelle, Steven and Eden all perched on his lap to collect their share of hugs and tickles. He never failed to honor this promise to all parents: "Train up a child in the way of the Lord and when he is old he will not depart." That, along with how to fish, play cards, identify minerals, enjoy a concert, hammer a nail, build a treehouse, plan an adventure, read a book, add and subtract, check out the stars, make pancakes and snuggle together were his lessons for the children. He did not leave us. Instead, he provided us with everything needed to move forward, to thrive and to embrace all good things our Heavenly Father has created. Those who survive Jim include wife Linda English Beach, son Nathan Banfield Beach, daughter-in-law Shelley Joy Beach, four grandchildren named above, brother Bill Beach, sisters-in-law Margee Beach and Holly Willeng, cousins Dana and John Talmadge, nephews, nieces and a legion of friends. The life of James Clare Beach is a blessing and benediction for each of us. The memorial service for Jim, followed by a reception, will take place Tuesday at 2:00 PM on April 26, 2022 at St. Andrew United Methodist Church located at 5801 W. Plano Parkway, Plano, Texas 75093. Should you wish to honor Jim, your kindness in memory of James C. Beach would benefit children with cardiac issues at the Heart Center at Children's Health (2777 N. Stemmons Freeway, Suite 1700, Dallas, Texas 75207 or give.childrens.com).
