OBITUARY
Denver
Matthew Benedict
May 2, 1967 - July 16, 2025
It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Denver
Matthew Benedict who left this world unexpectedly on July 16th 2025 at
the age of 58.
Denver was a beloved father, son, brother, and friend. He was known for
his big heart, sharp sense of humor, and the way he made people feel
seen and supported. Whether you knew him for years or just met him once,
he left a lasting impression. He served his country with pride as a
member of the United States Navy and carried that same sense of
dedication into every part of his life. He had a generous spirit and was
always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
He was passionate about many things - his family above all. He took
great joy in being present for the people he loved and found meaning in
the simple, everyday moments spent together.
He is survived by his mother Brenda Lunkwitz her husband Tom Lunkwitz,
his brother Alex Crowder, his wife Geraldine Alexander, his children
Denver Benedict, Madison Moats, Brooklyn Benedict, Aspen Benedict, and
his five grandchildren and remembered with love by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday July 23rd at 2000 Mountain
Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211. All who loved Denver are welcome to attend
and celebrate his life.
"Yes, I am sure that nothing can separate us from God's love - not
death, life, angels, or ruling spirits. I am sure that nothing now,
nothing in the future, no powers, nothing above us or nothing below us -
nothing in the whole created world - will ever be able to separate us
from the love God has shown us in Christ Jesus our Lord.
