OBITUARY
MAJOR HENRY W. BENNETT
Major Henry Wayne Bennett, 47, of Rt. 5, Box 382, died Sunday in a local
hospital. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, American Legion,
Knights of Columbus and was active in boy Scouts work. He retired from the U.S.
Air Force in 19 64 and for five years had been a pilot for Capital International
Airways.
Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Wilke-Clay Funeral Home. Mass will be at 10
a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Rev. Fred Bemar, pastor of St.
Peter's officiating. Burial will be in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with
full military honors.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Marian Bennett of Austin; parents, Mrs. Ann
Lee Bennett and Mrs. J. E. Bennett of Dallas; four daughters, Miss Nell Ann
Bennett, Miss Teresa Lee Bennett, Miss Mary Ellen Bennett and Miss Betsy
Bennett, all of Austin; four sons, Mike Bennett, Pat Mennett, Tim Bennett and
Danny Bennett, all of Austin; one brother, Dell Bennett of Los Angeles, Calif.;
and one grandson.

Major Henry Wayne
Bennett, age 47, of Rt. 5, Box 382, Austin Texas, in an Austin Hospital. Sunday,
February 15, 1970. Retired from US Air Force 1964. A pilot for Capital
International Airways for the past 5 y ears. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
Tuesday from the chapel of WILKE-CLAY FUNERAL HOME, Austin. Mass will be at 10
a.m. Wednesday from St. Peter's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Fort Sam
Houston National Cemetery with full military honors. Survived by his wife, Mrs.
Marian Shelton Bennett of Austin, his mother, Mrs. Annie Lee Bennett and
grandmother, Mrs. J. E. Bennett both of Dallas. also survived by 8 children and
1 brother, Dell Bennett of Los Angeles, Calif.
