OBITUARY Death Comes
Suddenly To Mrs. Prudence Bentley Death came suddenly to Mrs.
Prudence Bentley on her farm northeast of Carrollton last Friday night when she
was stricken with a heart attack from which she did not rally, death coming at
10:15 p.m. She was of a pioneer Dallas county family, being the daughter
of W. H. and Annie Perry Kennedy and dying on the farm files miles northeast of
Carrollton on which she was born fifty-four years ago.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the Union Baptist church. Rev. L.
M. Joines conducted the services, and interment being in the family plot at
old Frankford cemetery.
Mrs. Bentley is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Irby Jenkins, who with her
husband reside on the farm where the mother died; two brothers, Walter E., and
Henry L. Kennedy, of Carrollton; and one sister, Mrs. Ed Bowman of Dallas. Her
parents are dead, the mother, Aunt Anne as she was familiarly called, dying a
couple of years ago. The Carrollton Chronicle - Friday, February 3,
