Janet May Blankenship
1952 ~ 2021 (age 69)

Janet May Blankenship, age 69 of Farmers Branch, Tx. passed away September 17, 2021. She was born in Dallas, Tx. Jan grew up in Irving, Tx. and graduated from MacArthur High School May, 1970. She went to achieve many great accomplishments in her lifetime. Jan graduated from Texas Woman's University and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech Pathology, Elementary Education and Deaf Education June, 1976. She was an Elementary School teacher in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD for many years. Jan was a Christ Care Group Leader at Christ United Methodist Church in Farmers Branch and also had a Card Ministry that sent cards to Military Personnel around the world and to local church members. In her free time she loved reading and being part of a Women's Book Club along with cooking and crafting.

Preceded in death by her father John Blankenship and her mother Wilma Jean Blankenship both of Farmers Branch, Tx.

Jan is survived by her closest Cousins. Angela Peters and her husband Greg of Highland Village, Texas and Gina and Mike Nelson of North Lake, Texas. Uncles, Sam and Judy Miller of Malakoff, Texas, Bob Miller of Waxahachie, Texas, Jim Miller of Mineloa, Texas and Beverly Miller of Savoy, Texas. Cousins, Debby Steadman and her husband Brian of Valley View, Texas, Greg Miller and his wife Roslyn of Irving, Texas, Deric Miller and his wife Linda of Southlake, Texas, Terri Worley of Waxahachie, Texas, Penny Greathouse of Waxahachie, Texas, William Miller and his wife Jennifer of Alvarado, Texas and Shanna Miller of Waxahachie, Susan Van Gee and her husband Mark of Plano, Texas, Chris Miller and his wife Cindy of Mesquite, Texas, Garrett Miller of Mineloa, Texas.
She will be missed by many other family and friends.

Graveside service will be held Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Ferris Memorial Park North Cemetery, 901 Ferris Rd., Ferris , Tx. 75215. Officiated by Pastor Scott Holcomb-McLain.

If you wish to send flowers have them delivered to Green Funeral Home, 207 South Wood Street, Ferris, Tx. 75125. Orders may be made on the website.

In lieu of flowers, Jan's favorite charities were Susan G. Komen and The Christ United Methodist Church Legacy Fund(Farmers Branch)
