BLANKENSHIP
RICHARD LEE, born May 12, 1927, in Farmers Branch Texas went to be with the Lord, January 25, 2000. Preceded in death by father, David Lucian Blankenship; mother Lillian Ray Bolin Blankenship; brother, David Blankenship; sisters, Katherine Hunter and Virginia Blankenship; Nephew, Jerry Lee Griggs. Survived by his sole confidant, best friend, loyal companion and wife of 8 years Judi; son, Robert Lee Blankenship; daughter Meredith Ann Montgomery and husband Raymond; stepson, Stacy Patterson; stepdaughters, Mandi and Brandi Patterson; 5 grandchildren; sisters, Lillian Louise Norred and husband Morris and Ruby Mowery; brothers, Elvis Ray and wife Dolores Blankenship, Thomas A. (Sonny) Blankenship and Jackie and wife Carolyn Blankenship; many nieces, nephews and numerous local and out of town beloved friends. All who knew Richard's kind and gentle spirit will be happy to learn he had renewed his relationship with God and is looking down on us from heaven. He will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends at Family Funeral Care on January 26th from 6-9 PM. Services will be in the chapel of Family Funeral Care on Thursday, January 27th at 1:30 PM. With Ricky Wayne Parham, beloved nephew, officiating. Interment will be at Restland Memorial Park following services.
