OBITUARY

Services held for Blanton

Stephen Franklin Blanton, a Carrollton attorney and the son of a former state representative, was buried Wednesday, Oct 20, in Furneaux Cemetery. Memorial  services were held in the Holy Covenant United Methodist  Church after his burial.

Blanton died  Tuesday, Oct 18, after a lengthy illness.

Blanton, 31, was born in Carrollton Oct 16, 1946. He was a descendant of Carrollton pioneer families. His survivors include his widow, Georgean, and a daughter, Sonnet. Other survivors  are  his parents, Former State Representative and Mrs. Jack Blanton, two sisters, Mrs. Mary Symmank of Austin and Mrs. Jean Wood of Houston; and his grandmother, Mrs. Marion Good of Carrollton.

The family has requested that memorials be made either to the Holy Covenant United Methodist Church, or Wadley Institute of Molecular Medicine.
