OBITUARY
Wreck Victim Rites Planned
FARMERS BRANCH - Funeral services for Wallace Jerry Blanton, 32, of 13304
Nestle Drive, an employee of Accent Plastics who was killed in a 5-vehicle
pileup Monday, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Rhoton, Weiland-Merritt Funeral
Chapel, Carrollton. Burial will be in
Hilltop Cemetery, Carrollton.
Blanton was killed when a flatbed truck went out of control in the 10900
block of Stemmons Freeway and hit one car, then jumped the center median and
landed on top of Blanton's pickup. Two other vehicles were unable to stop and
smashed into the wreckage, but there were no other injuries.
Blanton was a graduate of W. W. Samuell High School in Dallas. He was a
member of the Dallas Bassmasters Club and the Lewisville Fishing Club.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Faye, his mother, Mrs. Lottie Osborn,
his father, O. F. Blanton, two daughters, three sons, four brothers and one
sister.
